Who We Are
Delta Africa is a youth-led, non-profit organization registered in Kenya and working primarily in arid and semi-arid regions (ASALs). The organization strengthens community resilience, advances climate justice, promotes social cohesion, and improves health and nutrition outcomes in fragile and climate-affected contexts.
Founded in 2012 and formally registered as a Non-Governmental Organization in 2015, Delta Africa combines deep grassroots presence with structured program management and evidence-informed practice.

Our Team
Delta Africa is led by a multidisciplinary team of professionals with experience in community development, climate resilience, health and nutrition programming, peacebuilding, monitoring and evaluation, and grassroots coordination.
Abdirahman Hassan
Executive Director
Provides overall strategic leadership, institutional direction, partnership development, and organizational oversight. Ensures alignment with Delta Africa's mission, donor priorities, and regulatory requirements while guiding long-term strategy and sustainability.
Fahim Bashir
Programs Manager
Leads program design, implementation, and quality assurance across thematic areas. Coordinates field teams, manages partnerships, and ensures programs are delivered in line with approved strategies, donor requirements, and community priorities.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Specialist
MEL Specialist
Oversees monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems across all programs. Supports results-based management, evidence generation, adaptive learning (CLA), and accountability to affected populations.
Finance & Administration Officer
Finance Officer
Manages financial operations, compliance, procurement, and administrative systems. Ensures sound financial management, internal controls, and adherence to donor and regulatory requirements.
Field Officers
Field Team
Support community-level implementation, coordination, and engagement. Work closely with community structures, youth networks, health promoters, and local leaders to ensure programs are responsive, inclusive, and contextually relevant.
