Delta Africa is a non-profit organization headquartered in Kenya and with active county programmes across five (5) areas namely; Nairobi, Isiolo, Wajir, Garissa & Mandera Counties. As an organization, we remain committed to supporting vulnerable and marginalized communities to amplify their voices through safe spaces for dialogue and build resilience among communities.
Delta Africa envisages a transformed Kenyan society in which everyone regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, or social standing, is aware of and able to:

STRATEGY & APPROACH
In our desire to achieve greater milestones, we streamline our activities as well as map them against measurable objectives and results. By establishing strategic partnerships with like-minded allies, we have impacted the lives of many. Our programs administer a rights-based approach in working towards transformed communities, laws and relevant institutions that promote values of democratic governance, human rights and peaceful coexistence. Taking advantage of our expertise in social change communications, we utilize strategic communication skills (StratComm) in reaching out to thousands of beneficiaries thus expanding our sphere of influence.
Abdirahman Hassan is eminent in advocacy. Utilizing his background in Law, he has demonstrated immense interest in the rule of law and global development. He has previously served as a Member in the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Youth Advisory Panel (Kenya) for a period of two (2) years. Hassan has meaningfully participated in various local, regional and International forums. Additionally, he sat at the Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC) 2017 Youth Pre-conference organizing committee that saw a multi-stakeholder alliance in commissioning the first ever AHAIC Conference in 2017 and coming up with a youth communique that amplified the voices, role and agenda of the youth in health. During this period, he was a lead facilitator at the youth pre-conference; building the capacity of young people drawn across Africa. Abdirahman Hassan is a Life Member and holder of Golden Award by the Presidential Awards Kenya popularly known as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Delta Africa has entrusted him with the responsibility of planning, designing programs and proactively monitoring its progress; resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action. He is mandated to ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programs. He is most fulfilled when helping people to grow professionally with vision and ability to nurture relationships that leads to long-term solutions and success.
Communications Management Officer
Ms. Darmi Mohamed Galgalo is a communications and public relations professional trained and graduated in Munich, Germany. She has a wealth of experience in strategic communications with special focus on radio drama.
Before joining Delta Africa, she was an intern at OPHELIAS Culture PR in Johannisplatz, Munich. She plays a critical role in coordinating all public relations and media activity, identifying strategic PR and media opportunities, responding to media enquiries, at all times representing Delta Africa in line with our vision and mission among other roles.
Mr. Mohamed Abdullahi Haji popularly known as Mwalimu (teacher) has a solid background on education with key strength in community mobilization. He is an active facilitator and a team player.
He responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of program and operations’ activities and adherence to logistic, human resource, administration and security procedures. At the district/county level, the Field Coordinator represents Delta Africa to relevant stakeholders.
Ms. Rosia Lidaywa is well versed with matters data and information. With her experience in statistics, she fulfills her role to the Implementation of our Research Pillar, which cuts across all the programs. The Implementation Research Pillar largely focuses on the role of technology, innovation and evidence-based data in informing our action plans.
